EXPECTED OPENINGSpring 2027Projected; exact opening day not announced.

Lost Island II is bringing a new adventure park to Monument.

The second Lost Island project west of Interstate 25 is planned as a much larger family entertainment venue, with themed miniature golf, indoor play and food service. Construction and building permits were reported in 2026.

01 / where it will be

A family entertainment destination near the Highway 105 interchange.

Lost Island II Monument is planned west of Interstate 25, south of the Highway 105 exit, between the interstate and Old Denver Highway. The planned facility extends the brand’s existing Colorado Springs adventure-park operation into the Tri-Lakes market.

Local reporting documented dinosaur figures placed near the property well before the facility opened. That early on-site activity generated attention because the project is much more than a stand-alone miniature golf course.

The project appears on Monument-area development reporting as under construction in 2026. Building permits announced by the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department in August are a material step beyond a speculative proposal.

02 / mini golf, indoor recreation & dining

What the operator has described for Lost Island II.

Early operator descriptions called for four themed 18-hole miniature golf courses, compared with the smaller existing Colorado Springs location. The concept also includes a large indoor play venue with trampoline activities, inflatable or obstacle-based attractions, food service and party facilities.

Local reporting has referenced a full-service restaurant, a tiki-bar concept and multiple birthday-party or private-event rooms. Specific attraction counts, layouts, food service operations and phasing remain subject to the approved construction plans and operator decisions.

Do not assume every advertised attraction opens on day one. A large recreation complex can be built and commissioned in stages.

Dinosaurs are already part of the Monument skyline.

Drivers on I-25 have been spotting the dinosaur figures assembled near Old Denver Road, west of the interstate. The figures are early signs of the larger themed attraction, not proof the golf courses are open.

According to reporting and operator plans, Lost Island II is targeting spring 2027 for its opening. Construction, inspections and the completion of attractions will determine the actual date.

What to watch

Permitted building: 42,000 square feet; reported construction value: $9.6 million.

On August 7, 2026, KKTV reported that the Regional Building Department had issued permits for a 42,000-square-foot building associated with Lost Island, with a construction value of about $9.6 million.

Coverage cited spring 2027 as the anticipated opening window. That remains an estimate; permitting, final inspections, staffing and the completion of outdoor attractions may influence the actual launch.

03 / local significance

Another reason visitors may stop in Monument.

Lost Island II could introduce a new family-oriented attraction close to Interstate 25, adding recreational options for area residents and people traveling through the corridor. It may also support demand for nearby food service and events, but the amount of new visitor spending and traffic will depend on attendance, operating hours and actual visitor patterns.

For a real estate perspective, the critical questions are the project’s access off Old Denver Highway, parking capacity, lighting, traffic circulation and its relation to nearby land uses. No blanket home-value effect can responsibly be claimed before the facility is operating and impacts are measurable.
