Monument Municipal Court: Address, Hours & Court Dates
Where to go, when the Court Clerk is available, how Monument traffic and municipal citations are handled, and which official Town links to use for payments or schedule changes.

01 / Municipal Court location
Monument Municipal Court is at 645 Beacon Lite Road.
The Town of Monument Municipal Court and Court Clerk are at 645 Beacon Lite Road, Monument, CO 80132. The Town states that the Court Clerk’s office has been moved next to the courtroom and is no longer inside the Police Department office.
Court Clerk: 719-481-3083. Office hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; closed Fridays. Town holidays may change availability.
This is the Town Municipal Court, which handles certain offenses occurring within Town limits. It is not the El Paso County courthouse or Colorado’s state district court. If a citation identifies a different court, follow the instructions on that citation instead.
02 / Citations & payments
Check the court named on your ticket before paying.
The Town court handles municipal-ordinance violations, some traffic and parking offenses, animal-control matters, and other petty offenses in its jurisdiction. A Monument Police citation can be assigned to either Monument Municipal Court or El Paso County Court, so the court printed on the ticket matters.
Penalty assessment: Some citations can be resolved through payment without an in-person hearing. Your citation shows whether you have a payable assessment or a summons requiring an appearance. Do not assume every ticket can be paid online.
For authorized Monument Court payments, use the Town’s Court Fines and Costs page, which links to the payment system and explains the identifying information you need. Never enter ticket or payment details through an unverified third-party link.
Town instructions describe a possible two-point reduction for eligible penalty assessments paid within 20 days of issuance; eligibility depends on the offense and the current Town rules. Confirm directly with the Court Clerk before relying on that provision.
Municipal versus county court
A Monument Police ticket may lead to a different court.
Monument Police officers may issue citations assigned to Monument Municipal Court or El Paso County Court. The department name alone does not determine where a hearing is held or which office accepts payment.
Check the court printed on your citation, then use the Town’s official court guide or contact the listed agency. The Court Clerk’s published phone number is 719-481-3083.

Before you visit
Your summons controls your court date.
The Town’s standard calendar says Municipal Court is generally held on the second Wednesday of the month. Juvenile matters are scheduled at 9 a.m., and adult matters at 10 a.m. But your own summons, hearing notice, and updated Town calendar are the controlling sources for your case.
If you must reschedule, the Town instructs defendants to contact the Court Clerk at least 10 days before the scheduled appearance. A requested continuance is not automatically granted. Follow all instructions from the clerk and your official paperwork.
03 / 2026–2027 court dates
Check the current Town calendar before going.
The Town maintains a 2026–2027 Court Dates calendar on its Municipal Court page. Court calendars can change due to holidays or scheduling requirements; the Town has specifically posted a closure for November 11, 2026 in observance of Veterans Day.
If you received a ticket or notice, do not rely on a general monthly calendar instead of the exact appearance time on your document. Call 719-481-3083 if you need help determining which office or courtroom to contact.
